Friday 14 may (ROB)

When we first entered the theatre the first thing we did was cut out some's lines from scenes. We did this because we figured it will be a very long play so we took out the irrelevant lines from the script. After we did some rehearsals and we practised some scenes to improve it and to make it look better,  One reason we decided to rehearsal the same scene is because it will benefit us and put us in the mood to act out the next scene so we rehearsed one scene that we did first before moving to a new scene. we practised a lot for some of the actors to be in the moment and live the part rather then acting the part

Tuesday 11 May (Shenagh)

Today we did some physical exercise to warm our body and minds up, Doing this will energize us and it will put us into the mood for acting, We did this because it makes blood flow easier, Gives us a boost to act and do stuff mentally and physically, Also not to be tired. we also did some stretches as well as vocal exercises, we did this because our jaws are most likely tight so a good stretch can also loosen it up making us the actors speak easily. Like last lesson we rehearsed the same scenes but this time acting out the other scenes, We also thought that some scenes are long so we cut out the irrelevant parts of the scene. We did this because most of the times when we act out a scene because is not on CUE it takes long and some actors forget about the practises we did. After we split into 2 groups and went on to practise out the other scenes. we did this because it can be easier to practise a scene whereas the other actors are in a different class.

Monday 10 May 2021 (Shenaghs lesson)

Today the first thing we did was body exercises this is because it brings energy as well as good blood flow to the brain. We did this because our body will be ready for body movements and for our brains to work quicker.  Then we played this beneficial acting memory game that we played, we get split up and go into rows of 3 and if Shenagh said 23 the people in row 2 and row 3 have to run and switch up lines so if I'm in row 2 and Shenagh said 21 i run into row 1 and the people in row 1 run into row 2. It gets tricky as If if Shenagh Shouts our 22 or 33 or 11, Because is the same number we jump up. We did this because it can increases our attention, concentration, and focus, Is beneficial because it gives us a faster comprehension and improves the memory strength. Friday 7 may 2021 (ROBS LESSION)

 Today was my Rehearsal lesson with Rob, We learnt something important. I learnt a Technique called Blocker a Blocker is a movement and laying out the scenes and not to be in front of the actors, There are some scenes that we blocked but a acting blocker is basically one or more actors that move around the space during a play, But is also how they interact with the actors and interacting with the environment. For example having self respect is good and respecting the actors space is important too, So when I was in front of a actor that was going to speak I moved my position for the audience or the camera to see her/him clearly and I move somewhere where I have a good amount of space. STAGING SCRIPTED WORK (REHEARED READING)

  How did it go: At first I was nervous because I thought to myself the actors wouldn't like my play but they did and when I started to act my play out I enjoyed it. It felt good and natural, All the actors even spoke fluently and I was confident about my play. Even though we rehearsed a lot I was still nervous at the end because it was my own script that was going to be performed and it was my first script. Towards scene 2 my feelings cooled of and I was excited. What went well :  While reading my play I was happy and excited because it went smoothly and we read our lines in Cue. In order to read out lines in Cue and on time we had to practised a lot, we read a lot and one technique that was useful was to change the page to the next quickly or to highlight our lines so is snappy. Delaying lines wouldn't be as good as reading it on Cue. It went fluently and everything was up to expected for me.
